Sombrero in Celle

Once again it was very, very tasty. Nice that it goes on like this.

As always, we were more than satisfied. Service great. Food was great. What more do you want.

The first time in the vicinity after 10 years, a visit is urgently overdue. The food is still as good as it used to be! The sombrero is and will be the best Mexican I've ever been to.

The shop can only be recommended! Service 1+, food 1+ and ambience 1+. The operation is 100% responsive to you and is very likely. The food looks and tastes just great. In addition, the food arrived after about 10 minutes when the store was full (very, very quickly). Greetings from Flensburg and see you soon

Boritos were okay but served different than what we ordered. They apologized, but in such a case I at least expect that a coffee or something similar will be offered as a small compensation. Too bad.

The food and ambience are great. Price-performance ratio is great. Very popular, so a reservation is necessary, especially on weekends.

The go-to place in Celle if you like great food, prompt service and atmosphere. Their sampler plate with guacamole and chili con queso is amazing. I would say the best dining experience in sleepy Celle whatsoever

You are only welcome if you have a firm intention to eat. We wanted at least something to drink, maybe something to eat ... although not nearly fully booked, this was not enough ... our appeal to test the many positive reviews has disappeared, new customers don't seem to need them.

We have been coming to eat regularly for years. Today we have been back for a long time and were immensely disappointed. Although we were the only guests at the beginning, it took almost 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive. After about 30 minutes the starter came. And the main course only over an hour later. All in all, our friends who had no starter waited just under an hour and a half for their meal. Then the wrong food was brought in and the waiter neither knew what the dish was called nor did he even speak to us. His colleague then had to be called to clarify everything. But this has also proven to be highly unprofessional. Questions were answered by calling across the shop and we were used from the start. All in all, we didn't feel comfortable at all during the entire stay and will not come back again. Of course there was no tip. As always, the food was very good. But unfortunately doesn’t make up for the poor service underground.

Food was okay. Service unfortunately overwhelmed. 20 minutes for taking the order, another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Then I tried to order another drink - unfortunately without success. Getting up was required to get the bill. Unfortunately, the employee did not have the right change. There was no tip and there will be no further visitors.

The food is great, the cocktails good. If you like hearty and want something other than German cuisine, this is the place for you. However, you should reserve at the weekend.

Really good Mexican food, lots of option even for vegetarians. I recommend fajitas and pinacolada my personal favorites. Service is good and pretty fast.

It was our second time in this restaurant. Enjoyed our wedding day there culinary :-) The food is really delicious there and you just feel good. Since you have to wait a long time for the food, you can assume that it is freshly prepared!

I must say, for a "Mexican" or let's be honest Tex-Mex, not only not in Texas but in Celle, Germany its fantastic! The food is outstanding the Fajitas are cooked to perfection never have I had a bad dish, if I had one complaint its that the Tortillas are served cut in half... That's all, now the best part, finding good tequila is a.... Chore here in Germany even at the bars and pubs, they do have it.... But... It's not tequila... This place has top shelf tequila so when you take a bite of the perfectly cooked fajita and take a long deep sip of the Margherita... It's perfection, it's relaxing, refreshing, and the always polite and friendly wait staff just makes it that much better, I cannot recommend this place enough!

I went with my fiancee today and a despicable woman received us, thanks to a very friendly long-haired waiter we were able to access a table. We appreciate the excellent attention of the waiter but having to see her hateful face every time he passed by the table, he did not even want to receive our orders indicating that the kitchen was closed but if he received orders from other customers. We were severely discriminated against by this woman, we will never return to that place and we will tell everyone who asks us for recommendations so that they do not go.

The attention was disgusting, we were attended by a blond woman with an angry face saying that she could not receive us without even asking how many we were, absolute discrimination. Disgust of a person, she does not deserve to be a hostess or public restroom, if we could denounce her for her horrible Attention we would. That woman should not work on anything related to communication with end customers, does not have soft skills and does not handle English in the least. For the sake of your business and thinking about future projections you should reconsider having she in your team.

Ok listen here, I am from Texas. Where tacos are medicine. This is NOT Mexican food!!!! It’s NOT bad food, it’s just NOT Mexican. Everything has been "Germanized" & that’s not a good thing for food. If you want a good taco here, go home & make it yourself

Delicious mexican food! Delicious cocktails especially the Magaritas! Super nice condition! But you should reserve a table by phone because the restaurant is very well visited.

One of the best restaurants in Celle

Can't recommend when you are traveling alone. Establishment refused to serve me at an outside table because I came to eat alone. Had to either get company or eat inside. In the middle of summer. Declined to do that in a city as beautiful as Celle. After all there are plenty of businesses around that know how to treat guests.

Excellent place. Good food. Book the table if you are going to visit this restuarant.

If you expect low level german interpretation of mexican food then you might be ok here. For all others, this is not mexican food only a bad interpretation. Not in a lifetime would someone that ever had some mexican food call this good.

Its tough to find good Mexican food in Germany, but they did pretty great! We had the 2 person combo/tapas platter. I wouldn't call it "authentic" but it tasted great without the real authentic Mexican food side effects (you know what im talking about). The Strawberry margaritas were great and i liked the table light system where green candle light means open table, red is reserved, and orange is occupied. Accidentally took a reserved table but the staff were super nice about it.

we are from southern California, known for it's Mexican restaurants, and would definitely rate this restaurant as very good. we were definitely surprised and would definitely go there again when we come back to this georgeous town

My Fiance, a friend & myself stopped in the lovely town of Celle on the tail end of our German vacation. We were looking for a nice place to visit on our way to Dusseldorf. Stopped in here for lunch because not only did the menu look interesting but we were intrigued by a Mexican restaurant in Germany. Everything we tried was delicious, our waiter was very friendly & helpful as my Fiance has a milk allergy. He not only answered all his questions but the chef accommodated his meal to suit his food allergy. I have to say living in the US I have tried good Mexican food, this place was on my top 2. If this place was close by we would eat there at least once a week.
